This program is designed to help professionals develop the skill set required in all aspects of Data Analytics to manage, understand and model the massive data sets, interpret the outcome and communicate the results for business value.
This is a year-long program which is composed of 10 courses (30 credits in total) plus a Term Project. You will take these courses in three consecutive semesters from Fall to Spring and Summer.
Graduates of disciplines with a solid quantitative background (e.g. computer science, engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics, economics and other fields with a quantitative focus) or professionals who have ample work experience in a data-analytics-related area.
Graduate admissions are determined by the Graduate Admissions Committee. The committee considers grades, particularly in quantitative courses, letters of recommendation, work experience (if any), statement of purpose and your performance during the interviews. We expect you to have a strong quantitative background. Courses taken previously on Statistics, Probability and Linear Algebra are a big plus. Computing skills are also preferred.
You need to complete the online application form and submit your documents through the web interface. You will be asked to bring along the hard copies of these documents during the registration process.
You can, as your ranking in the new applicants might be different this time. You need to go through the application process again and re-upload all materials previously submitted.
This is a Professional Master’s Program for which you don’t need to write a thesis. For graduation, however, you need to work on a Term Project that reflects the outcome of the learning objectives of your degree.
